I am Ron Newman, PhD, although many of my client’s simply call me “Dr. Ron”. I am a licensed psychologist in Mays Landing, New Jersey, and would count it a privilege to speak with you about your counseling needs, whether individual or relationship related. I have been traveling to South America each year to teach Christian leaders in counseling related skills since 1993. In 1998, I founded the Christian Counseling Consortium of South Jersey, but previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient community settings in the past, supervising many other therapists in the 1980s and 1990s.

My expertise in understanding the best of what psychological research has to offer, and an uncompromising Biblical worldview and perspective, have enabled me to excel in helping others through my private practice and be well received by church leaders throughout South America via 25 annual mission trips to teach and train them in more effective ministry. With the help of the mission organization SALT, I began the International School of Christian Counseling in Lima, Peru under the mission organization SALT. While the ISCC was turned over to another ministry with a similar vision, I helped begin a similar program (School of Christian Counseling and Theology [ESTYC in Spanish]) in Temuco, Chile, and in April 2018 I helped start another program in Huancayo, a remote city in Peru.
I have written a monthly articles for the Hammonton Gazette newspaper with the topic of Seeking Balance, some of which I intend to share here. I have been interested in balance as a key concept in people’s lives, particularly as it relates to managing stress and balancing relationship priorities. I also am in the process of writing several books on counseling and psychology. I am glad that you found this website, and I hope the wisdom God has granted can be a benefit to you, even if we never meet.
Thank you.
